Countdown to ceremony!

Transportation & Lodging

Hotel
We have booked a block of rooms at the Marriott in Downtown Durham at a small discount. The
hotel is walking distance to our drinks location Friday night as well as dozens of awesome restaurants, coffee shops, and things to do. It's about 20 minutes drive from the airport, and 25 minutes from the farm where the ceremony and reception will be on Saturday.

Book Marriott (room block code: gdugdua)

Other Hotels & Lodging
The Blooming Garden Inn - This quaint, colorful B&B is located right in our neighborhood of Cleveland-Holloway, and walkable to downtown's amenities. Mention to Frank and Dollie that we are their neighbors!

Duke Tower - This funky, centrally located motel features a great courtyard with a pool, shuffleboard, and more. Most rooms are suites.

The Old North Durham Inn - A few more blocks away, this B&B is still a fairly central location for getting around downtown Durham on foot or bike, and minutes away from things by car.

Plenty of other hotels can be found between the airport and downtown. We also recommend AirBnB and, if you're adventurous, camping at the Eno River State Park.

**UPDATE**
Here are a few AirBnB listings that we think look promising and well-located:
Beautiful, 1900's Historic Home (up to 5 people)
A Lovely, Sunlit Historic Home (up to 5 people)
Artist Loft in Tobacco Warehouse (up to 3 people)
If you have any questions about a specific place to stay, just give us a shout to ask!

Camping on the Farm
Feeling pretty confident that you're going to dance with us til the wee hours and then want to watch the country stars as you fall asleep? Grab your tent and sleeping bag (or talk to us about coordinating a loaner or rental) and camp out in the upper field Saturday night after the reception winds down. We anticipate a good handful of adventurers taking this route.

We can offer you port-a-potties and a camp fire that evening and next morning, and for showering on Sunday will be pairing up out-of-towners who want to save on a hotel that night with local friends with showers. Email us if you're interested in this option. ***Please use the subject line, "WEDDING: CAMPING"***

Getting Around
Cars can be rented for the weekend from RDU airport. If you'll be riding the bus on Saturday from the hotel to the wedding (don't forget to sign up, by the way!), and just need a ride from the airport to your lodging in downtown Durham, taxis can be found easily at the airport and it's about a 20-minute ride.

Bus to the Ceremony
We're offering bus service from the Marriott in downtown Durham to the farm on Saturday night, and shuttles departing on the hour back to Durham starting at 9pm. We recommend as much carpooling, shuttling, and camping as possible, as we'd like you to relax and enjoy the evening. Seats are limited; if you haven't already done so, please fill out our survey to book a spot on the bus.
